Consortium
The GeoNet consortium is a well balanced European consortium consisting of 7 partners from 6 different countries including one of the new member states of the EC (namely France, Germany, Austria, UK, Hungary and Spain). From the typology, GeoNet is also well balanced since it implies 2 Research Institute (INRIA, IMDEA-Networks), 1 SME (BroadBit) and 4 industrial partners (EFKON, Hitachi, NEC and Lesswire).
The consortium has been constituted to gather the representation of all the required multidisciplinary expertise and markets to successfully achieve the defined objectives and research fulfillments, based on a team of complementary partners, who will carry out the research, design, deployment and management activities.
The GeoNet partners are not only technically complementary, but also different on their number of people, different on their usage and different on their knowledge of the technology. This ensures a wide range of viewpoints will be considered. The Advisory Board will even widen the perspectives. Moreover, the choice of INRIA as the coordinator will ensure the neutrality with respect to the C2C-CC and the standardization bodies.
